Each Capsule Contains: Amoxycillin trihydrate BP equivalent to Amoxycillin 500mg.
Description:
The active ingredient of Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic antibioric , an analog of Ampicillin , with a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. Amoxycillin is chemically designated as D-(-)-alpha-amino-p-hydroxybenzyl penicillin trihydrate.
Amoxycillin is available as :
a) Capsules contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to 250mg and 500mg Amoxycillin .
b) Oral suspension contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to 125mg/5ml Amoxycillin on reconstitution.
Indications:
1. Infections of the ear, nose and throat due to Streptococci.Pneumococci ,non-penicillinase-producing Staphylococci and H.influenzae.
2. Infections of the genitourinary tract due to E.coli. Proteus mirabilis and Streptococcus faecalis.
3. Infections of the skin and soft tissues due to Streptococci , susciptible Staphylococci and .Coli.
4. Infections of the lower respiratory tract due to Streptococci.Pneumococci,non-penicillinase producing Staphylococci and H.influenzae.
5.Gonorrhoea and acute uncomplicated anogenital and urethral infections due to N.gonorrhoeae(males and femaies.
