INDOMETHACIN CAPSULE 25MG
Composition :
Each capsule contains indomethacin 25mg.
Action:
Indomethacin is a highly effective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with marked analgesic and antipyretic properties . Indomethacin is a potent inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis in vitro .Concentrations are reached during therapy which have been demonsttrated to have an effect in vivo as well. Indometacin has been shown to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Indometacin affords relief of symptoms . It has not been shown to alter the progressive course of the underlying disease .
Indications:
For long-term use in theumatoid arthritis , ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis . Indometacin has been found effective in relieving the pain, reducing the fever , swelling , rednedd and tenderness of acute gouty arthritis.
Dosage & Administration:
1-4caps daily in divided doses.
Contraindications :
Asthmatic attacks ,urticaria or rhinitis precipitated by aspirin or other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer or history of gastrointestinal ulceration. Pregnancy , lactation , hypersensitivity to any component of Indomethacin .
Storage:
Store in an airtight container and protect from light . Keep in a cool , dry place.
