Ampicillin Sodium is a semisynthetic penicillin which has broad antibacterial spectrum . It is markedly effective against Gram negative bacteria as well as Grampoistive bacteria. It's action is bactericidal .
Ampicillin Sodium is a sterile powder . It is almost cdorless . Easily soluble in water and very stable in acid solution .

Action and use :
Employed in the treatment of infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria as well as Grampositive bacteria Such as typhoid fever , sepucemia,infections of the respiratory , urinary and biliary tracts .It is mainly indicated for the infections resistant to other drugs or at the appearances of severe toxic effects or in patients with renal-lesions.

Caution:
1.Skin test should be performed before use .The method and the dosage are the same as that of potassium penicillin G.
2. Slow and deep intramuscular injection is suggested.
3. Skin rash or toher allergic reactions may occur during the course of therapy. Should it occur . Use antihisaminic or hormone and continue the therapy under close observation .Stop the treatment if serious skin rash occurs .

Storage :
Keep in well-closed contianer and stoted at bellow 25ºC
